The chemical treat inspired a molecule called to nucleic acid to make copies of itself.

One day, more than 3 billion years ago, some lucky cell discovered chlorophyll.

And now you've got me, algae!

New cells breathed oxygen and ate plants - the first animal cells!!

Plant and animal cells clustered together in colonies.

Before long, the world had worms!

Even today, our cells contain tiny mitochondria with their own genetic materials from that time.
