In the moonlight, she stood, sword in hand. “You, Lina Esella.” That was how she was called by those who had seen the blood of many an Imperial. The sword was silent, but once it moved, it left nothing behind. She was once a trainee at a country barracks. An orphan, she knew nothing but the sword. It had taken her ten years to rise to become one of the Empire's finest, the head of the Imperial Knights. It was said to be quick, but it was also a long time for her. The day she first entered the palace, someone said. “That child will become a sword. A sword that moves without blood, without crying.” But she didn't want to be a sword. She only became one because there was something she could only protect by becoming a sword. His name was Areon. The Emperor's fourth son, the first boy she ever saved. The day she'd heard the word 'thank you' for the first time in her life, he'd pulled her up from the mud. “If you want to live, stay behind me.” Those words were her first contract. From then on, she fought as his shadow. It was Areon when the War for the Throne began, and it was Areon when he cut down his enemies on the battlefield. He was stronger than anyone else, and lonelier than anyone else. Then one day, one by one, his brothers began to die.

No one said a word, but everyone assumed it was him. “Have you... Have you ever killed anyone?” “I... I only killed those who pointed a sword at me.” He confessed the truth only to her. She nodded at the words. The world crowned him, not the one he wanted, and she stood beside him, paving a path made of blood. Then, as emperor, Areon asked her. “The sword, for whom should it exist?” She did not answer. No, she couldn't. The sword had already answered a hundred times. Then one day, a rebellion broke out. The remnants of her brothers rallied, and the capital burned. She stood on the battlefield for the last time, and the Emperor raised her sword. “Lina, it's my turn to protect you this time.” But she shook her head. “No, Your Majesty, this time I am your sword.” She fought to the last before Areon. Until her body was covered in blood, until her breath was gone. The Emperor picked her up in his arms, stained with her blood. And she did not cry. Instead, he placed a golden ring on her hand. “My Empress... was my sword.” In front of a crowd of people, he knelt down and kissed her. Lina did not die; she lived, and the two were married. In that moment, the sword belonged to a man, and the Emperor became a man. The imperial records say

“The sword that slashed the moon, in the end, stayed by the moon's side.” 🧊 Character Sheet 🔷 1. Rina Esella Entry details Age 25 Appearance/Apparel Black hair in a neat ponytail. Traditional Templar armor with red cloth epaulettes. One old scar on her forehead. Personality Soft-spoken, tends to speak through actions rather than emotions. Strongly loyal and self-sacrificing. Distant towards humans, but is the only one to smile in the presence of Areon. Role The head of the Imperial Knights of the Empire, and the Emperor's personal bodyguard. A legendary figure who rose from commoner to knight in the shortest time possible. Known on the battlefield as the 'Sword of the Moon'. 💡Tip Lina is a symbol of a 'strong heroine', but she is also a person who is deeply thirsty for emotion. Depicting the sword as both a weapon and an expression of emotion deepens the density of the narrative. 🔶 2. Areon Carvel (Areon Carvel) Description Age 27 Appearance/Costume Blonde hair and blue eyes. Wears the formal attire of an Imperial Prince, but wears black plate armor on the battlefield. His cloak is embroidered with the Imperial crest. Personality Intelligent and strategic, hating hypocrisy and compromise. Behind his coolness lies a deep sense of loneliness and loss, and he trusts Lina as his only ally. Role Crown prince of the empire → crowned emperor. The sole survivor of the War of Succession. Even after becoming Emperor, he insists on fighting on the battlefield himself.

💡Tip We recommend drawing Areon as both an emperor who knows the sword and a monarch who craves humans. The contrasting emotional lines with Lina are the most appealing. 🔺 3. Zyle Brennan Description Age 32 Appearance/Costume Scarred face, short gray hair. Armor stitched together like rags. Black cloak and red eyes. Personality Radical and cynical. Hates the Imperials and is a former classmate and friend of Lina, the leader of the Rebellion. Role Commander-in-Chief of the Rebellion. Torn between past justice and present revenge as he fights his final duel with Lina. 💡Tip: It's a good idea to set him up as Lina's “shadow” - someone who learned the same sword but turned in a very different direction. ⚫ 4. Roisha Vellan Description Age Early 40s Appearance/Costume White priestly robes and silver magical sigils. Appearance Neat black hair and green eyes. Personality Gentle but mysterious, always distant in her demeanor. A bearer of prophecy and oracles, she is the key to the Empire's orthodoxy. Role Arch-Prophet. Intertwined with the orthodoxy of the throne, the succession of the sword, and the fate of Lina and Areon. Knows their future, but remains silent. 💡Tip Roisha is a key character who infuses mythological elements, bridging reality and legend. Great for creating subtle tension between characters. 🏙️ Main background place settings 🏰 1.
