THE ANEXX UPSCALE APARTMENTS EARLY EVENING A large black tactical van with the letters I.C.U. on the side comes to a stop in front of The Anexx Upscale Apartments. The lights go off and the vehicle becomes stealthy. INT. LARGE BLACK TACTICAL VAN EARLY EVENING Inside the vehicle are: AMINA BAXTER an attractive, athletic mid 30's African American woman, bounty hunter and the owner of I CATCH U Fugitive Recovery. Her COUSIN DEXTER also mid 30's who mans a control center within the vehicle. BEYLA 30's a blonde beautiful but rough around the edges Russian ex olympian fugitive recovery agent and DOJO 40 a Samoan ex NFL linebacker is at the wheel of the vehicle. All but Cousin Dexter wear black tactical gear. Beyla has her eyes closed and she's leaning on her rifle. AMINA Beyla, get your game face on. BEYLA T h i s i s m y g a m e f a c e . I ' m j u s t r e s t i n g my eyes. AMINA Girl, you're crazy. DOJO We're here, lock and load. AMINA Dex, you got eyes? COUSIN DEXTER In the back of my head. AMINA Ok, let's get it. (imitates Katt Williams) Don't you know? GROUP




(Also imitating Katt Williams) I.C.U.? INT. - THE ANEXX UPSCALE APARTMENTS EARLY EVENING A good looking Dominican criminal named POP'O GRIDDICK, is being intimate with a young woman when his cellphone rings on the nightstand. The screen reads “MIGUEL”. POP'O This better be good Miguel, I’m kinda busy. (S.S.)MIGUEL ¡Qué vaina! Bounty hunters! Pop’O, kisses the girl and jumps up. He reaches for his lime and black Ogun Santeria Orisha protection necklace and puts it on. He grabs his clothes, begins putting them on and heads for the door. CUT TO: XT. - THE ANEXX UPSCALE APARTMENTS EARLY EVENING Pop’O peeks his head out of the door and sees arm tattoos and Dojo's large 6'5 260 lbs muscular frame at the far end of the hall holding a gun. DOJO Don’t run Pop'O! POP'O Yala! Pop’O chuckles and puts his middle finger in the air and starts running top speed down the hallway. His white dress shirt is wide open and flapping. He’s in great shape. Pop-O runs through a separating door. He’s followed by Dojo who speaks into his walkie. DOJO He’s on the move! CUT TO: INT. STAIRWELL THE ANEXX UPSCALE APARTMENTS EARLY EVENING Amina is leaping up the stairs and bouncing off the walls in an uncanny almost supernatural fashion. She speaks into her walkie talkie. AMINA I’m heading up the stairs! INT. - THE ANEXX UPSCALE APARTMENTS EARLY EVENING Beyla races down an intersecting hallway. She speaks with a slight accent. She’s holding a gun also.


BEYLA Coming down other hallway Dojo. At that moment Pop'O rounds the corner heading right towards Beyla. He leaps into the air knees first and knocks her straight through the glass of another hallway door. Her gun flies our of her hand. She firmly grabs his foot but he shakes her off, kicks the gun away and starts running again. Dojo rounds the corner to see Beyla on the floor covered in glass. He reaches down to help her up and they continue the chase, but they’ve lost sight of him. Dojo taps his walkie- talkie. DOJO Mina? We’ve lost him. CUT TO: EXT. - THE DOOR OF ANOTHER APARTMENT IN THE ANEXXX APARTMENTS Pop’O knocks quietly but insistently on a door. It opens and a beautiful Latina woman named SOFIA stands there. She’s both surprised, nervous and pleased to see Pop’O. SOFIA Pop’O? She tilts her eyes and head to indicate she’s not alone. He rubs her butt discreetly as he comes in the door. POP'O I know. Close the door. Pop’O watches through the peephole as Dojo and Beyla pass the door. He turns and walks down the hallway into the middle of the room and nods at Miguel who’s sitting on the bed smoking a blunt. MIGUEL Qué lo qué Pop'O? POP'O Thanks for the heads up, Papá. I’m gonna lay low here for a--- There’s a hard knock on the door. Sofia looks through the peephole but it’s blocked. She looks back at Pop’O, who puts



his finger to his mouth, and heads for the fire escape. CUT TO: EXT. - ROOF OF THE ANEXX UPSCALE APARTMENTS EARLY EVENING Amina, is standing about seven flights up on the roof looking over the edge and sees Pop’O, dropping down the fire escape with his hands in a Parkour move. She speaks into her walkie- talkie. AMINA I've got him. I’m on the roof. He’s going down the fire-escape. Beyla meet me downstairs. Dojo, go pick him up. He’ll be handcuffed to the fire escape on the third floor. (O.S.)DOJO What?! Amina takes her cuffs off of her tool belt and drops off the seven story roof parallel to Pop’O. As she floats passed him she holds the cuffs in her left hand smiles and waves with her right. AMINA Hey. He looks at her amazed. As he proceeds to drop to the next level his right arm gets trapped and he nearly dislocates his shoulder. He looks up to see that he’s handcuffed to the fire-escape. He looks down to see Amina on the ground grinning. He pulls himself up onto the fire escape from which he’s hanging. CUT TO: EXT. - ALLEY BEHIND THE ANEXX UPSCALE APARTMENTS EARLY EVENING Beyla rounds the corner a little shocked to see Amina standing there. Amina stops looking up long enough to acknowledge her. Beyla looks up towards the roof, confused. BEYLA How you get down from roof so fast? Amina shrugs. Dojo walks out onto the third floor fire-



escape. One end of the cuffs is open the other is still attached to the bar. He calls down to Amina and Beyla. DOJO Where is he? Amina looks up a little surprised. She scans the area, shrugs then smirks in mild admiration. AMINA Not bad, Pop’O. We’ll sweep the area one more time, but I think he gave us the slip. Dojo bangs the rail in frustration, and unlocks the cuffs. CUT TO: EXT. SUBURBAN NEIGHBORHOOD - NIGHT Establishing. INT. SUBURBAN TOWNHOME OF AMINA BAXTER - LATER THAT NIGHT Amina sits at a dinner table wearing a black Recruit Mode sweatsuit. She's with her husband JULIUS BAXTER, also African American mid to late 30's and their daughter YAHNDA BAXTER 15. AMINA Put your dishes in the sink when you finish Yah Yah. YAHNDA Yup AMINA That was delicious Bae. Thanks for getting dinner tonight. JULIUS I got you. My drive through game is strong. She rolls her eyes stands up and kisses Julius. He caresses her with intentions for later. Amina picks up his dish with her own and takes them to the sink. YAHNDA Ugh, gross. AMINA You weren't "ugh'ing" when you swam out of your daddy, so girl, bye. YAHNDA Daddy? Julius smiles and shrugs. JULIUS T h a t ' s y o u r m a m a . YAHNDA Y'all doing too much. JULIUS Y'all? YAHNDA Y o u ' r e. AMINA Go do your homework. YAHNDA I don't have---



Amina side eyes her knowingly. YAHNDA --much homework. There is a window above the sink where Amina is standing. She notices movement in the trees leading to the woods outside the house. There are a conspiracy of ravens sitting on the branches making the various trees look black. She tenses up and nearly drops the dish in her hand but she catches it without looking. Yahnda shivers at that moment. Amina notices. AMINA You ok? YAHNDA Yeah, that was weird. Caught a shiver for some reason. Yahnda finishes her last bite then takes her dishes to the sink. AMINA Well, go put on a sweatshirt or something and get your homework done. Amina kisses Yahnda's forehead before she exits the room. JULIUS I'm going to go into my office and get some work done. You need anything? AMINA Nah. I got this. I'm going to finish this up and take out the trash. JULIUS It's late. I can take it out in the morning. AMINA Really? What's going to happen to me walking from here to the curb? I'm g o i n g t o g e t a t t a c k e d b y m o n s t e r s? JULIUS M a y b e w h e n y o u g e t b a c k i n t h e h o u s e . He smiles at her, and she chuckles.



He walks out of the room. She watches him depart. She sighs deeply. She knows what she has to do but she's not into it. She angrily speaks a phrase in Amharic. AMINA Inē bezīhi yetekenaweniku meselenyi translation: "I thought I was done with this" She gathers herself and then reaches under the sink and grabs the trash bag and a unique pair of black nunchaku's. She tucks them into the back of her waistband and heads to the door. CUT TO: EXT. SUBURBAN TOWNHOME OF AMINA BAXTER - NIGHT Amina walks toward the trash can parked by the curb. Her eyes stay on the trees. The conspiracy of ravens all turn their heads toward her in unison. She puts the trash into the recepticle, and grips the nunchaku's. She turns her attention to the trees. Her eyes change color and she now has night vision. She leaps 20 feet from the ground and lands atop of the trees. The conspiracy of ravens follow in unison. CUT TO: EXT. FIELD ON THE OTHER SIDE OF THE TREES - NIGHT Several ravens transforms into QUERCUS a large ghastly gray monster made of an old rotted tree. The other ravens become Giganteum also. Quercus is considerably larger than the rest of the group. His roots attach to the ground beneath him and he walks towards Amina, who’s standing over him in the trees. He begins talking. His voice is deep and there are raven squawks interspersed in his speech. QUERCUS




We've finally found you Hunter. AMINA I wasn't hiding. What are you doing here? Who sent you? QUERCUS I am Quercus, son of Cerris. I’m here on behalf of The Virulent. AMINA And that means what to me, exactly? QUERCUS We've hidden in the shadows long enough. Once we destroy your kind the world is ours and we will live a life of freedom. AMINA A world domination plot? She rolls her eyes. (CONT.)AMINA That’s so cliché. You might as well go muah ha ha ha ha while you’re at it. QUERCUS We’ll see who’s laughing when this is over. AMINA Really? Who’s the hack writing your dialogue? (whispers) No weapon formed against me shall prosper... She raises her nunchucks in front of her face and then to her side. (CONT.)AMINA Ok, Quirky son of Circus, let’s do this. QUERCUS Attack. Amina jumps into the field. The large contingent of Giganteum surge forward and circle her. As they do she swings her arm over her head and presses a button the handle of one side of the nunchaku flies off like a boomerang and smashes into the faces of several of the adversaries who fall to the ground. The handle returns to its starting point. She begins picking them off with both her nunchaku's and martial arts. They're putting up a good fight but they're no match for her. She presses another button on the handle and it extends the chain several feet.


On the top of the handle is a spinning blade. She cuts their heads off with the blade. As she vanquishes them they turn into mulch and weeds sprout up everywhere in in the field. Quercus stomps the ground with a large thud that shakes the entire neighborhood. Car alarms go off everywhere then turn off. He towers over Amina. CUT TO: INT. SUBURBAN TOWNHOME OF AMINA BAXTER - NIGHT Lamps and other items shake around Yahnda, but she's got on headphones and is wiggling to the music oblivious and completely immersed in her music and her home work. CUT TO: INT. SUBURBAN TOWNHOME OF AMINA BAXTER - NIGHT Julius has fallen asleep with his feet on his desk. The shaking wakes him. He looks at his phone to check the time. Perplexed he gets up and starts down the stairs towards the kitchen. CUT TO: EXT. SUBURBAN TOWNHOME OF AMINA BAXTER - NIGHT Quercus surveys the damage and sees that the entire conspiracy are gone. He tries to hide his surprise and fear. Amina shrugs. AMINA Light work. What you gonna do now? All your boys are gone. Quercus adjust his neck from side to side and it sounds like large branches breaking. Amina adjusts her neck also. He chuckles at her, then charges. He's incredibly swift for his size. He knocks her through the trees to the other side of the woods into her neighbors car which is parked in the driveway. The car dents and swerves slightly.





The alarm goes off. The momentum continues and causes her to create a skid in her neighbors lawn. Amina cringes at the pain in her back, then shakes off the blow as Quercus walks towards her. QUERCUS Light work. The car alarm turns off. The neighbor looks out the window holding his car key. Amina waves at him sheepishly as she walks across his lawn holding her back she pulls the car back into a straight position. Quercus pauses like a tree. The neighbor leaves the window. Quercus chuckles and cracks his branch like knuckles. Amina gets back into her fighting stance. She's visibly in pain, but focused. She brushes herself off and then swiftly charges him but a root emerges from the ground forms a hand lifts her by the neck and begins choking her. It slams her into the ground several times. CUT TO: INT. SUBURBAN TOWNHOME OF AMINA BAXTER - NIGHT Julius is making his way downstairs. He's looking for Amina. JULIUS Babe? CUT TO: EXT. SUBURBAN TOWNHOME OF AMINA BAXTER - NIGHT Through being chocked Amina's enhanced hearing catches Julius calling her. She realizes she's got to act quickly. AMINA (cough.) Sorry bruh, we gotta wrap this up. In a series of swift moves Amina breaks the branches around her neck and begins attacking Quercus. She runs up his back clicks the nunchaku handles together and twists them. When they come apart there is a razor sharp steel strand where the chain used to be.

She wraps it around Quercus's neck and--- QUERCUS Oh f--- separates his head from his body. He turns into a large pile of mulch which she surfs down to the ground. She catches Quercus's head behind her back then surveys the yard. Weeds have sprouted where Quercus died. AMINA (Sighs) Dang. I’m going to have to go to Timothy’s gardening in the morning. At that moment Julius opens the door. JULIUS Babe, what are you doing? Amina turns towards him as Quercus’s head turns to mulch in her hands. She tucks the nunchaku's in her waistband. AMINA I was just enjoying the moonlight for a minute. He looks up and sees no moon. JULIUS What moon? AMINA Aww. I guess it went behind the clouds. Julius looks around and sees that the area around their house and the neighbors is disheveled. JULIUS What happened out here? She shrugs sheepishly. AMINA S q u i r r e l s? She knows she needs to distract him. AMINA But it's nothing compared to what's a b o u t t o h a p p e n i n s i d e . M e e t m e upstairs. Julius smiles. JULIUS Don't threaten me with a good time! Julius surveys the yard once again. JULIUS How'd you let me allow these weeds to get this bad? Amina shrugs again. (CONT.)JULIUS Dang. I'm going to have to go to Timothy’s Gardening in the morning. Julius blows her a kiss.



She blows him a kiss back. She still has dust from Quercus in her hand so it blows away in the air. He smiles and runs back inside. She coughs because some of the dust got in her mouth. AMINA Ugh. At that moment the nosy neighbor GLADYS WILLIS comes outside in her furry pink bathrobe and walks toward Amina. She has mild exotropia in one eye where her eye points slightly outward. GLADYS WILLIS What's going on out here? I thought I heard a noise. It woke me up. AMINA And you are? Gladys answers indignantly. GLADYS WILLIS Gladys Willis your neighbor from across the street? AMINA Oh. Hi Gladys from across the street. We just moved in. GLADYS WILLIS I know I heard your noisy moving truck last week. Now what's going on out here? AMINA I don't know what you're talking about Gladys. GLADYS WILLIS Mmmph. Well I've got my eye on you. AMINA Which one? GLADYS WILLIS What did you say? AMINA I said, this was fun, but I’ve gotta go now, good night. GLADYS WILLIS H m m p h . G o o d n i g h t. Gladys looks at her dubiously then stomps off. AMINA Welp, she's gonna be a problem. Amina watches her walk away, then surveys the area, with night vision for any further threats. She spots a teenage boy CHRIS across the street. He's holding a pug with a leash. (CONT.)AMINA Why are you hiding over there?



He steps out reluctantly. CHRIS I, you jumped and, trees, what the? Amina's eyes change color again and the pupils appear to rotate. She whispers a phrase in Swahili. AMINA Sahau. translation: "forget". Chris' eyes stare into nothingness. He closes them and shakes his head to reorient himself. He seems confused. AMINA Why are you standing there like a peeping tom? He reacts as if he's been caught doing something wrong. CHRIS No, I wasn't. I was just walking-- Amina continues to charmingly play him. AMINA You ain't gotta to lie. I know I'm fine, but you're too young for me boy, a n d I ' m m a r r i e d . W h a t ' s y o u r n a m e ? Y o u live around here? CHRIS I'm Chris. I live over there. He points. AMINA Go home. It's too late for you to be out here with your nonsense. He puts the pug down. CHRIS C'mon, Puggy Smalls. He walks away. Amina surveys the area again. She still feels something watching her but doesn't see anything and walks back into the house. CUT TO: INT. AN OPULENT HOME ON THE BEACH IN MOGADISHU SOMALIA - DAY At that very moment ZIRYAB a distinguished Kushite man with long white dreadlocks sits quietly on a detailed rug. Everything around him says wealth. He's wearing comfortable linen clothes and is barefoot. He appears to be in a trance.



He gets up and walks into a bathroom where a large mirror stands. He reaches under the sink and pulls out a smaller antique mirror . He lift's his shirt revealing a tattoo on his back. It's moving. Once it settles it is an image of the fight that Amina has just won. Moments later it disappears. ZIRYAB Ah, there you are child. And so, it begins. E_N_D_ _T_E_A_S_E_R_ SCARY MONSTERS: PILOT THE BIG BAD WOLVES 6/20/2018 A_C_T_ _O_N_E_ INT. - DISTINGUISHED OFFICE - DAY OLIVER ACKLAND, 20's an intense, good looking man in a tailored suit is the head of a young monster cabal called THE VIRULENT. He sits at the head of a conference table. There are several people lined around it. His 2nd in command BASIL 20's sits to his right. A third RACHEL 20's sits the next seat over. OLIVER What is our infiltration rate thus far? BASIL We're at about 38% sir. OLIVER What platforms? Basil clicks a button and "social media" types appear on a screen at the end of the table. BASIL We have reptilians in social media influence and politics. OLIVER Have any been discovered? RACHEL There've been sightings, but we've got people convinced they're just crazy conspiracy theories. Basil clicks the remote again. Xi-Wolves are in the national parks and parks and rec. Click. BASIL Sabre-Vampires in medical. It's a little obvious, but whatever. Doctors are suspiciouly transporting several bags of blood down a hallway. Remote click. (CONT.)BASIL Chupacabra's in farming.





A group of farmers are standing over a badly mangled and chewed up cow, scratching their heads. A man in the back quietly wipes his mouth with his snake like tongue. He smiles a creepy sharp toothed smile. OLIVER And The Faction? BASIL I reached out to Mahalavan, but they refuse to join us or adhere to our overall agenda. OLIVER They're relics. Hags. Rules, rules, rules. Hiding out all the damn time. This is the way it's always been done. Humans are meat. Why are we bowing down to a weaker species? We don't make friends with food. These old heads need to just go ahead and die already. We can help them with that. They either get down or lay down. Understood? BASIL/RACHEL Understood. Oliver gets up to leave. The entire table stands at military attention. Oliver pauses. OLIVER Oh, and what of The Hunters? RACHEL Quercus found one north of here. No updates thus far. OLIVER Quercus? His father isn't going to like that. I want a strategy on how best to deal with The Faction and an update on the Hunter by Friday. Oliver leaves the room. Everyone remains standing until he's gone. All of the phones in the conference room vibrate. Rachel looks at her phone. RACHEL Quercus is dead. BASIL That’s unfortunate, but that might be useful later. Do we have anyone else in the area? RACHEL I'm not sure. BASIL Send another team, but keep it quiet.



Oliver doesn't need to know about this epic fail just yet. Rachel leaves the room. CUT TO: EXT. - SUBURBAN NEIGHBORHOOD - DAY Yahnda is walking to school alone. She has on a pair of headphones and a backpack. She's lost in the music. Across the street tracking her are three 18 year old white boys, JAMES, RICK and CARL. They sniff the air notice there are no other people around at the moment so they cross the street and cut Yahnda off. JAMES Where ya going? She removes her headphones. YAHNDA I'm sorry, what? Rick moves his hands like he's doing sign language. RICK He said where you going Thotiana? YAHNDA School. You know so I can get an e d u c a t i o n a n d n o t b e c o m e a d e l i n q u e n t. CARL Funny. You got a boyfriend? YAHNDA Nunya. Now move boy, I'm going to be late. JAMES Relax. James tries to grope her but grabs the backpack strap. Yahnda pulls away then tries to move past them, but Rick blocks her way. She kicks Rick between the legs. He shrieks an inhuman sound his mouth opens in an alien way and he buckles. Terrified, Yahnda pushes him into the other two boys and takes off running back towards her house. The boys chase her. She glances back and sees three horrific looking monsters chasing her.



They've got tentacles with claws and teeth. The three "boys" are Shapeshifters. Yahnda hops a fence. A pitbull on a long chain charges at her. She screams and narrowly avoids it. She runs through a gate and down an alley. They leap the fence also, one of The Shapeshifters eats the dog whole breaking his chain as they’re gaining on her. She turns a corner where several kids are heading to school. She screams at the top of her lungs. The Shapeshifters have the ability to hide like chameleons and blend into their surroundings. YAHNDA Somebody help me! Everyone stops to look at her, but they don't see anything and keep moving. Yahnda looks behind her but doesn't see anyone. She can still hear them breathing so she runs. She makes it home. The Shapeshifters hover outside of her home as she bursts through the door. CUT TO: INT. SUBURBAN TOWNHOME OF AMINA BAXTER - DAY Amina is in the living room doing yoga in a sports bra leggings and workout gloves as Yahnda runs by and up the stairs. AMINA Yahnda! Amina gets up from the floor and bounds up the stairs to Yahnda's room. CUT TO: EXT. - AMINA'S TOWNHOME OUTSIDE YAHNDA'S BEDROOM - DAY The door is closed. There's a big school provided poster on her door that says "BULLIES" with a line through it. Amina opens the door. CUT TO: INT. - AMINA'S TOWNHOME INSIDE YAHNDA'S BEDROOM - DAY

Yahnda is standing by her bedroom window looking out. The Shapeshifters are still there pacing. They're blending into their surroundings but you can discern movement because of the shifts in the light. AMINA Girl you must've lost your mind. What are you--- Amina stops talking when she notices Yahnda visibly shaking. She walks over to her and caresses her back. (CONT.)AMINA Baby, what happened? YAHNDA I don't know, mom. AMINA Ok, take a deep breath, slow down and tell me what happened. Yahnda points out the window. YAHNDA Do you see them? Amina looks out of the window she can see their heat signature, but some lies are necessary to protect your children. AMINA See what baby? Come over here sit on the bed and talk to me. They move over to the bed. Yahnda takes a deep breath to calm down. YAHNDA I was walking to school and three boys stopped me. AMINA Are you alright? They didn't touch you did they? YAHNDA No. They tried to, but I kicked one of them like you taught me and ran. AMINA That's my girl. YAHNDA Then they changed into something horrible. AMINA Changed? What do you mean changed? YAHNDA When I turned to look back they were,.. Yahnda pauses to think of how to describe what she saw. (CONT.)YAHNDA ...monsters. Amina looks into Yahnda's eyes. Her pupils being to spin. She speaks in Swahili. AMINAS Sahau. Kulala Translation: Forget. Sleep. Yahnda falls back on the bed into a deep sleep.





Amina kisses her on the cheek and leaves the room. She angrily bounds down the stairs and out the front door. CUT TO: EXT. SUBURBAN TOWNHOME OF AMINA BAXTER - DAY The shapeshifters reveal themselves but quickly revert back to being teenage boys. Their eyes widen as Amina appears on her porch. JAMES She's a Hunter! Run! As the boys run, Gladys Willis steps out onto her porch sipping her coffee. She glares at Amina. Amina waves and jumps into her Rezvani Tank. CUT TO: EXT. - SUBURBAN NEIGHBORHOOD - DAY She chases them down the street as they run. She eventually uses the Tank to cut them off and force them down an alley. They go into chameleon mode, but she still runs them down. The truck runs over their bodies like speed bumps. The impact brings them out of chameleon mode and they all lay on the ground in pain. She pops the back of the truck opens a compartment in her door and removes a machete. James reaches for her door and gets an electric shock. She gets out of the truck. JAMES Arrrgh. You broke my legs! AMINA Good. He lays next to her driver’s side door. Amina kicks him in the face knocking him unconscious as she walks by him towards the back of the truck. The two boys behind the truck regrow their broken limbs and the former extremity falls off. One of



the boys face looks like putty and it has a large tire tread mark in it until his face goes back to “normal”. CARL We don’t want any trouble with you hunter! RICK He’s right. AMINA A little late for that don’t you think? Who sent you? CARL Sent us? Amina straightens her arms out aggressively and spikes come out of the top of her gloves. She punches Carl in the mouth, knocking out all of his teeth. He falls back on the ground. She looks at Rick. AMINA I ’ m n o t g o i n g t o a s k a g a i n . W h o s e n t y o u t o m e s s w i t h m y d a u g h t e r ? RICK S h e w a s y o u r d a u g h t e r? Rick looks like he’s going to be sick and throws up. Amina realizes that they don’t know anything. She drops her guard for a moment. She hears a crack behind her but it's too late. She grimaces in pain as a tentacle pierces her side and lifts her into the air. James has awoken and he’s in full shapeshifter mode. She pulls loose turns around and cuts off the limb, sending James back shrieking. The other two boys have transitioned into their true form and they rush her. She

swings the machete down and cuts off four of their legs. They both collapse and shriek. James leaps in the air and lands on her. He’s trying to stab her in the eye with a tentacle as she punches him with one hand and stabs with the other. She kicks him off her, he resumes his true form. Amina flips up and uses the machete to cut his “head” off, killing him. The other two are still in the process of their legs growing back. She lifts the tire compartment and grabs a flamethrower and walks back around the car where they're all still moaning in pain. AMINA You don't mess with my family! She shoots a stream of the fire and incinerates the shape shifters. They squeal as their tentacles flail. She continues until they're reduced to three piles of ash. She remorsefully puts the flamethrower back in the truck, Holds her side then gets back into the Tank and drives off. CUT TO: EXT. - A SECLUDED BEACH - DAY A tricked out Toyota parks in the beach lot. A young couple late teen's early 20's jump out. The YOUNG MAN stuffs his car keys in his pocket and his phone in his back pocket, then their hands are all over each other. They head to the empty beach. The YOUNG WOMAN spreads out a blanket then lays on her back. The young man sets his car keys and phone on a corner



of the blanket then quickly descends upon her. CUT TO: EXT. - THE WATER - DAY Several miles out four purple swordfish like dorsal fins move in unison towards the shore at about 60 miles an hour. EXT. - A SECLUDED BEACH - DAY The couple hookup, oblivious to anything around them. The dorsal fins approach the shore. XI-WOLVES the size of Kodiak bears with black fur and large dark purple dorsal and forearm fins emerge on all fours from the water about 50 feet from the couple. Their eyes glow yellow and their teeth and claws are sharp and massive. They each have diving backpacks strapped to their legs. They shake the water off like dogs and sniff the air. All four Xi-Wolves turn towards the couple. One of the Xi-Wolves lets out a low growl that startles the couple out of their lustful pursuit and causes them to look up. The young man's eyes widen. YOUNG MAN Oh my God! What is that? YOUNG WOMAN What is what? He takes off running, leaving his girlfriend defenseless. She raises up off her back onto her elbows and watches him run away and has yet to realize the danger she's in. One of the Xi-Wolves races after the young man. The other three circle her. She is terrified. YOUNG WOMAN (Whimpering)Oh no. CUT TO: EXT. - FURTHER DOWN THE BEACH - DAY The Xi-Wolf’s nose extends into a long blade and spears the man.



It throws him in the air then bites his head off, and eats it. The body runs a few feet then collapses, blood spills out of the neck into the sand. One of the other Xi- Wolves surrounding the young woman smells blood and takes off down the beach. The young woman takes off running. She takes three steps when one of the other Xi-Wolves bites her leg off below the knee. She screams and collapses but quickly scrambles back up and hops down the beach. The two Xi-Wolves lunge and rip her in two. They each carry one half of her body off to eat in peace. END OF ACT ONE A_C_T_ _T_W_O_ EXT. FREEWAY - DAY AMINA IS FLYING DOWN THE ROAD ON HER BLACK MOTORCYCLE Amina wearing a green Recruit Mode sweatsuit and a matching green riding jacket. She taps the side of her helmet to call her COUSIN DEXTER. “DEX” pops up on the right side of her helmet shield. Dexter’s face appears. COUSIN DEXTER Mina mina mina mina mina. She laughs. AMINA Boy, you’re crazy. I’m heading in. I took the tank over to Doc. Can you pick it up later? COUSIN DEXTER Yeah, I can do that. An alert shows up on Amina’s screen with Pop’O Griddick’s face. AMINA I just got a text that Pop-O Griddick is at a bar over on fifth. $50,000 bounty. Have Dojo and Beyla go pick him up. COUSIN DEXTER Ok, will do. CUT TO: EXT.



- I CATCH U FUGITIVE RECOVERY STOREFRONT OFFICE - DAY Amina pulls into the parking lot of her company “I Catch U Fugitive Recovery". Her "day job/cover" is that of a fugitive recovery agent or "Bounty Hunter”. She removes her helmet, shakes her hair out and walks towards the building. Dojo and Beyla come out of the door in all black tactical gear. DOJO Masiofo. Amina and Dojo raise their fists and tap them together. She taps Beyla on the shoulder. BEYLA Boss. Amina smiles. Gestures to her own breasts. AMINA Beyla, how are your girls? BEYLA A little bruised.Is nothing. Happen many time before. Is fun weekend for me. Beyla shrugs her shoulders and smirks. Amina raises her eyebrow, and the three laugh. Amina shakes her head. AMINA B e y l a- - - I ' m n o t e v e n g o i n g t o a s k . DOJO Pop’O. You gearing up? AMINA Nah. You got this. I'll get Jason'El to go with you. BEYLA Roger that. Amina walks into the office. CUT TO: INT. - I CATCH U FUGITIVE RECOVERY STOREFRONT OFFICE - DAY There's a bullpen of mostly women working furiously. There are whiteboards and sheriff's placards on the wall as well as a sign with the company logo. The whole office offer random "hello's" and “good mornings" as Amina walks towards her office. A very large 6'6 Bajan man named JASON'EL is looking at mugshot's. AMINA Jason'El.





Suit up and go with Beyla and Dojo. He jumps up excited. He smiles a gapped tooth smile. JASON'EL P o p ' O? Amina smiles. AMINA Yep. CUT TO: INT. - A LARGE CONFERENCE ROOM THAT HAS BEEN CONVERTED INTO A WORKSHOP- DAY A high tech workshop. There is a desk with a computer, several dedicated servers and television monitors line the walls. Each of the screens has a news feed except for one dedicated to monitoring the exterior of the shop. The opposite wall has an assortment of unusual weapons. Karizma's energetic "Work It Out" is playing. Cousin Dexter a nattily dressed man mid 30's with a faded haircut and glasses dances goofily over to a high tech printer. He lifts a passport and ID up to the light. It has a picture of Amina but says "Allison Chambers". At that moment a green light goes on and the song "Ding Dong The Witch Is Dead" plays. He looks at the monitor and sees Amina pull into the parking lot. Still carrying the passport and ID he walks over to the wall and places his hand on a hand scanner and the wall in front of him slides open. CUT TO: INT. - AMINA'S OFFICE - DAY He steps into a nondescript office with a desk a computer and a few chairs. The wall slides back and looks like a regular shelf. There are pictures of Amina and her family on the


shelves as well as her bounty hunter certifications. Cousin Dexter sees something is not right. COUSIN DEXTER What's wrong Mina? AMINA Shapeshifters attacked Yah Yah. COUSIN DEXTER What? Is she ok? AMINA Yeah, she's good. COUSIN DEXTER What'd you do? AMINA I had to kill them Dex. They were just kids, but they messed with Yah, and they knew where we live. As much as I don't want to keep doing this I've got to stay prepared for anything. COUSIN DEXTER Damn. Sorry you had to go through that. Where are the bodies? AMINA Ashes in an alley. Is that my new passport and ID? She takes them nods in approval and hands it back to him. (CONT.)AMINA Will they hold up to scrutiny? COUSIN DEXTER Oh that’s what we’re doing? She smirks. AMINA Yep. Dexter tilts the picture of her family backwards and the wall reopens. CUT TO: EXT. - A SECLUDED BEACH - DAY The Xi-Wolves have finished eating. They saunter over to the towel. One of the Xi-Wolves ASHER pauses by the cell phone. His Dorsal and forearm fins retract, as do his claws and teeth. His fur recedes also. He looks human. He collects the phone. ASHER Has anyone seen the car keys? Everyone looks around for them and then RATHE starts heaving like he's about to throw up and the keys and a male thumb exit when he regurgitates. They all laugh as he nibbles the thumb up. He and the other two stand erect and transform into humans also. They all stand naked. In all there are four. They all look like bronze skinned black people with light colored eyes. The father Asher he has what looks like a large




acid burn on his side. his two teenage sons MALACHI and RATHE and their mother IRIS who has a scar over her eye. They all open their packs and find hand towels. IRIS Rathe! Where are our clothes? MALACHI Aw, Rathe come on man not again. RATHE I didn't pack them. I'm tired of hiding who we are. IRIS I understand your position Rathe, I do. I may even agree with you in principal but until Virulent says we're good, this isn't the way to handle it, we've got to be smart. ASHER Your mother's right son. MALACHI We gotta find some clothes now thanks to stupid. RATHE Whatever Chi. Kiss my sea salted nuts. MALACHI How 'bout I just beat your ass? RATHE Ha! In what world could you beat my ass? IRIS Boys! Malachi punches Rathe in the arm but he doesn't flinch. Iris shoots them a look. Asher puts his arm around Rathe and whispers proudly in his ear and gives him a pound. ASHER That's what's up son. Iris grabs the blanket and wraps herself in it. The others boldly walk naked towards the car. CUT TO: INT. - TRICKED OUT TOYOTA - DAY Asher dials a number on the phone. CUT TO: INT. - RACHEL'S OFFICE - DAY Rachel is busy working when her phone vibrates. She looks at the number but doesn't recognize it and ignores it. CUT TO: INT. - TRICKED OUT TOYOTA - DAY Asher tries the number again.



Once again there's no answer. IRIS Ash, she probably doesn't recognize the number. ASHER Right. I'll text her to let her know we're here. He texts "we're here, keep this number. Text me the name, address and dossier of The Hunter - Ash." Asher starts up the car and they pull out of the beach parking lot and out on to the main road. CUT TO: INT. - RACHEL'S OFFICE - DAY Rachel's phone vibrates again. She reads Asher's message. She texts back. "Good. The Hunter's name is Amina Baxter. She lives at 24 Mount Pleasant Rd. expediency imperative. Dossier attached, payment upon completion." CUT TO: INT. - TRICKED OUT TOYOTA - DAY The four are cruising along when Rachel's text comes through. IRIS The Hunter's name is Amina Baxter? Isn't that? Asher nods his head and grins. ASHER We'll finally put an end to that family of Hunters forever. CUT TO: INT. - RACHEL'S OFFICE DAY Rachel touches a button on her office phone. Basil's voice comes over the phone speaker. BASIL Yes? RACHEL The team is here and I've instructed them to proceed. BASIL Keep me updated. Keep it quiet. CUT TO: INT. - A LARGE CONFERENCE ROOM THAT HAS BEEN CONVERTED INTO A WORKSHOP- DAY Cousin Dexter is packing high tech backpack with various innocuous looking weapons. De La Soul's “Buddy Remix" is playing. “Mina mina mina mina mina” comes out of the speakers. One of the weapons is a wooden cross. He twists the

cross and a sharp wooden stud emerges. He pulls back the vinyl interior of the backpack and removes to bars from the frame. They're connected by a strand of steel wire. They're a pair of hard polymer nunchucks. He swings the weapon and hits himself. COUSIN DEXTER Ow! Mutha--- He tucks them back into the case and reseals the backing. He picks up a U shaped device that looks like a handle. He presses the button that you would use to extend the backpack arms. It fires two sharp projectiles towards a target on the back wall of the workshop but they ricochet and come flying back towards him. He ducks as they embed themselves in the wall only inches from his head. He pulls the button up about a half inch and twists it. He presses the button again but nothing fires. He inserts it where the suitcase handles normally go. He places a box of mints in the backpack and layers her clothing atop the weapons and toiletries and closes up the case. CUT TO: EXT. - NONDESCRIPT SUBURBAN NEIGHBORHOOD - DAY The Xi-Wolf family sit in the Toyota outside a home watching a family getting ready for school and work through their front window. A HUSBAND, a WIFE and a TEENAGE BOY. RATHE Finally. MALACHI I know you ain't complaining. CUT TO: EXT. - NONDESCRIPT SUBURBAN NEIGHBORHOOD FRONT DOOR OF A HOUSE - DAY Iris still wrapped in her blanket knocks on the door weeping.



The husband opens the door. She casts a spell on him as she speaks. IRIS I'm so sorry to bother you sir, but someone broke into my home. I barely escaped. HUSBAND Oh my gosh. Come in, I'll call the police. The wife and the boy walk up behind the husband. WIFE Who is it Hon? HUSBAND This woman was attacked and--- The wife is dubious. WIFE Uh huh. This is that basic you've been sleeping with isn't it? HUSBAND What? No? IRIS Shut up! Impatiently Iris pushes them inside, and closes the door behind her and locks it. A loud roar shocks them and what they see leaves them speechless. CUT TO: INT. - TRICKED OUT TOYOTA - DAY The rest of the Xi-Wolf pack laugh hysterically as they watch Iris kill the entire family through the front window of the home. CUT TO: EXT. - NONDESCRIPT SUBURBAN NEIGHBORHOOD FRONT DOOR OF A HOUSE - DAY Iris opens the front door and the naked guys shuffle into the house. The family is all dead there's blood everywhere but the bodies are mostly intact. INT. - NONDESCRIPT SUBURBAN NEIGHBORHOOD HOUSE - DAY Asher surveys the room. ASHER Kinda left a mess huh, babe? IRIS I already had breakfast. ASHER Right. IRIS Boys hurry up and get clothes for a couple days and let's get out of here. MALACHI Ok mom. The boys both bound up the stairs. Bumping and racing each other to the top. CUT TO: INT.



- AMINA'S CAR - DAY Amina's is driving her Rezvani Tank , and hits a button on her steering wheel. AMINA Call Julius. The phone dials and then rings. CUT TO: INT. - JULIUS WORKSPACE - DAY Julius an engineer works for a firm called X-Tech that specializes in aerospace technology. He's in his cubicle with glasses on working on his computer. There are several other cubicles surrounding him with other engineers hard at work. His phone is on silent but he notices it light up with the word "Wifey". JULIUS Hey bae, what's up? I'm kinda busy. CUT TO: INT. - AMINA'S TANK - DAY Amina has her phone blue-toothed through her car speakers. AMINA I've got to go out of town for work. Yah Yah's home from school because she wasn't feeling well. I need you to get home as soon as possible to make sure she's ok. CUT TO: INT. - JULIUS WORKSPACE - DAY Julius stops working and focuses on what Amina is saying. JULIUS Ok. I'll get out of here as early as I can. Is there anything to eat at home? CUT TO: INT. - AMINA'S CAR - DAY Amina is still driving. She speaks flirtily. AMINA Nope. I thought your drive through game was strong? CUT TO: INT. - JULIUS WORKSPACE - DAY Julius closes his computer and grabs his coat from the back of his chair. He smiles. JULIUS Is that a challenge? CUT TO: INT. - AMINA'S CAR - DAY




Amina's pulls into entrance to the airport. AMINA Yup. Just make sure our girl is alright. I'm at the airport. See you when I get back. Love you. CUT TO: INT. - JULIUS WORKSPACE - DAY Julius is walking past the cubicles towards an elevator at the end of the walkway. JULIUS Love you more. He ends the phone call. He scrolls through his numbers and dials the number for a restaurant called "Pizza La La". CUT TO: EXT. - A SECLUDED BEACH - DAY There is police tape around a large section of the beach where the couple was eaten. The area is marked by yellow evidence markers. There are several officers collecting evidence. A crowd has gathered outside of the tape as well as 3 or 4 reporters. DETECTIVE KINCAIDE African-American attractive, strong, mid to late 30's also. She walks toward the crime scene. All of the reporters swarm her. REPORTER #1 an attractive female of Asian descent runs over to where the Detective Kincaide is with her cameraman. She sticks a microphone in the Detective Kincaide's face. The Detective Kincaide is cordial. REPORTER #1 Can you tell us what happened here? DETECTIVE KINCAIDE I really have no comment now. It's an active investigation. The next reporter MARC THE REPORTER is a large black man with a slightly balding head, jams a microphone into the Detective Kincaide's face. Detective Kincaide calmly pushes the microphone back a few inches. MARC THE REPORTER Hi, Marc FMBM News,is there any truth



to the reports that this was some kind of animal attack? DETECTIVE KINCAIDE Animal attack? I sincerely doubt that. REPORTER #3 chimes in. REPORTER #3 Do you think that this could be a retaliation or cartel murder? DETECTIVE KINCAIDE I prefer not to speculate. Marc bumps Reporter #3 out of the way and jockeys back into position. MARC THE REPORTER W e l l w h a t d o y o u k n o w D e t e c t i v e Kincaide? DETECTIVE KINCAIDE I know my job is to follow the evidence. MARC THE REPORTER So, you're saying you don't know anything? DETECTIVE KINCAIDE I'm saying I have a job to do and really need to get to it, so thank you all. She pushes through the reporters and walks to the crime scene. She steps under the tape. The crime scene investigator BOBBY walks over to her wearing latex gloves and carrying a collection kit. DETECTIVE KINCAIDE What do we know Bob? Marc speaks softly under his breath in Somali. MARC THE REPORTER Waxba kama ogi. Translation: You know nothing. Bobby parrots the reporter. Marc walks away grins, becomes Ziryab then opens up time and space like a curtain, steps through and disappears. BOBBY We know nothing. Just that something terrible occurred. DETECTIVE KINCAIDE Any leads? BOBBY Honestly? No. It appears to have been some kind of animals. Large bears maybe? Hard to tell based on the prints that we found. DETECTIVE KINCAIDE


Large bears? Bears typically travel and hunt alone. Could it be something else? BOBBY Doubtful. DETECTIVE KINCAIDE Did you get pictures? BOBBY Yes and we got casts also. He calls the JESLYN THE PHOTOGRAPHER and the MAZUKI THE CAST MAKER over. The photographer produces the camera. The Detective Kincaide looks into the view finder. DETECTIVE KINCAIDE I don't know what this is but it isn't a bear. Can you print this photo to scale, Jeslyn? JESLYN THE PHOTOGRAPHER Yes ma'am. The cast maker produces the casts. They're enormous. DETECTIVE KINCAIDE What could make a print this large? MAZUKI THE CAST MAKER I don't know. I've never seen anything like it before. DETECTIVE KINCAIDE By the way did Bob seem a little quiet to you today? MAZUKI THE CAST MAKER Come to think of it, yeah, maybe a little, compared to his normal chattiness. Today he was practically silent. Detective Kincaide looks around and ponders the scene in silence. DETECTIVE KINCAIDE Who discovered the crime scene? Bobby points in the direction of the beach parking lot. There's a black and white police vehicle there with a woman holding a Golden Labrador on a leash. (CONT.)DETECTIVE KINCAIDE Keep processing the scene and leave a report on my desk when you're finished. Bobby, Mazuki the cast maker and Jeslyn the photographer walk away. She walks back under the tape. The group of reporters and cameramen hurry towards her, but she shuts them down. She looks at Reporter #2 who smiles at her.



She continues walking. Reporter #2 disappears. She looks back and notices he's no longer there and it startles her. She heads back towards the reporters. DETECTIVE KINCAIDE Where did that reporter go? REPORTER #1 Which one? DETECTIVE KINCAIDE I think he said his name was Marc? They shrug. She frantically looks both ways down the beach but doesn't see anyone. She pulls out her walkie talkie. DETECTIVE KINCAIDE Dispatch, be advised we need more units around the beach to search for a possible suspect posing as a reporter. 6ft.2 African American. CUT TO: EXT. - BEACH PARKING LOT - DAY There is a young uniformed police officer taking a witness statement. His name plate says "PELCER" Detective Kincaide jogs up and greets him. DETECTIVE KINCAIDE Hey, Officer Pelcer. What do we know? Officer Pelcer gestures towards the witness STACY. She's tall blond and wearing yoga pants and an athletic top. She's holding her dog a Golden Labrador Retriever on a leash. He's sitting calmly. OFFICER PELCER This is Stacy. DETECTIVE KINCAIDE Hello,I'm Detective Kincaide. Can you tell me what you saw? STACY Well like I told him, I run my dog on this beach every morning. I let him go and he stopped and started whining. When I caught up to him I saw a large puddle of what looked like blood. Then Buddy Man--- DETECTIVE KINCAIDE Buddy Man? STACY My dog? DETECTIVE KINCAIDE Got it. STACY So Buddy, pulled something out of the sand and ran down the beach.




When I caught up to him he had part of a woman's foot in his mouth. It was--- gross. DETECTIVE KINCAIDE What did you do with the foot? STACY Nothing, I didn’t want to tear it out of his mouth so I called the police. Detective Kincaide looks at Officer Pelcer. OFFICER PELCER I bagged and tagged it. DETECTIVE KINCAIDE Ok, thank you. Excuse us a minute, Stacy. The Detective Kincaide pulls Officer Brandon aside. DETECTIVE KINCAIDE Make sure to fingerprint her, so we have them on file. OFFICER PELCER You think she had something to do with this? DETECTIVE KINCAIDE No, but if she touched the evidence we'll need to rule her out. OFFICER PELCER Roger that. DETECTIVE KINCAIDE Stacy, thank you. The officer needs you to go down to the station and get fingerprinted. STACY Fingerprinted? Why? DETECTIVE KINCAIDE It's a formality really, but it's necessary. STACY Oh, ok. Is this going to make me late for work? DETECTIVE KINCAIDE Mmm. What time do you have to be there? STACY 3pm. The Detective Kincaide checks her phone. DETECTIVE KINCAIDE We'll try to get you in and out, but you may want to call your job and let them know what's going on. STACY Ok. Detective Kincaide walks to her unmarked patrol car. Officer Pelcer opens the back of his cruiser. The dog jumps in first followed by Stacy. He closes the door and gets behind the wheel, starts it up and backs away. CUT TO: INT.



- DETECTIVE KINCAIDE 'S CAR -DAY Detective Kincaide sits for a moment with her hands draped over the steering wheel. She reaches in the back and pulls out a black binder. It has a heading that reads "Unexplained Phenomenon". She opens it to a page that reads "missing pints of blood?" She flips to a blank page and writes "unidentified large animal?" She puts the notebook away, starts her car and backs away. CUT TO: EXT. - RONALD REAGAN AIRPORT ARLINGTON VIRGINIA - NIGHT Establishing. A plane is coming in for a landing. CUT TO: INT. - AIRPLANE - NIGHT An airline attendant announces that you can now power up your devices and prepare for departure from the plane. Amina turns her phone on and punches a button that reads "Bae". She texts a quick message. "Made it safely. Call you from the hotel. Love you". Several seats back a well dressed stocky Latino gentlemen is discreetly clocking her. CUT TO: INT. - AIRPORT TERMINAL - NIGHT Amina walks into the terminal with her backpack on her back. The Latino gentleman follows at a safe distance. CUT TO: EXT. - METRO TRAIN PLATFORM YELLOW LINE - NIGHT Amina waits on the platform. There are quite a few people on the platform. All tired from the late night flight. The Latino gentleman is several feet away. He leans forward to identify where she's standing. He leans forward again, but she's gone. CUT TO: EXT. METRO TRAIN PLATFORM YELLOW LINE - NIGHT



Amina has maneuvered towards the Latino gentleman while unwrapping a piece of mint gum. She puts it in her mouth. She removes the wooden cross from her backpack twists the end and a sharp point ejects she puts the cross blade at his back. AMINA Don't turn around. Why are you following me? Your answer better be good or you'll have an "accident" and fall in front of that train that’s coming. He tries to turn around but she blows the smell of mint in his face. He reacts negatively to it and it slightly burns his skin but it returns to normal. His name is MATHIAS and he's a Sabre Vampire. She's smacking the gum playfully and loudly. MATHIAS Pinché Puta, mint? AMINA Yep. Want some more? It’s delicious. She blows another breath at him. It burns him again. He throws his left elbow back towards her head. She rotates to the right ducks slightly and puts her left hand up to shield her face and jams the cross into the underside of his bicep with her right. MATHIAS Chingada! He donkey kicks her in the stomach knocking her to the ground. The sleepy crowd gasp and look down to see what happened. He leaps unnoticed like a cat on to the top of a passing train. Amina quickly gets up, runs and jumps out towards the tracks as the end of the train passes. She catches the handle of the backdoor. The crowd looks on incredulously. CUT TO:



EXT. - TOP OF A MOVING TRAIN - NIGHT Amina leaps from the back door to the roof of the train where Mathias is calmly sitting with his back to her. He looks over his shoulder and chuckles. (CONT.)MATHIAS I was hoping you'd want to do this the hard way. AMINA Hard way? (chuckles) For who? Mathias stands and begins to grow and transform. His face and hair take on the features of a Sabre-Tooth tiger. His eyes glow like a cats and his teeth extend and his hands and feet grow fur and become like claws. His new weight causes the train roof to buckle slightly. She enables her night vision also and presses a button on her backpack strap that enables a magnetic field to her boots. CUT TO: INT. - MOVING TRAIN A few of the sleepy patrons are startled by the sound of the roof caving slightly they look up to see what look like claw imprints. They’re startled. CUT TO: EXT. - TOP OF A MOVING TRAIN - NIGHT Amina tosses her cross back and forth between her hands as she walks towards him. He grins a Sabre-Toothed grin. His voice is a loud roar that echos throughout the dark tunnel. MATHIAS Vámonos! He crouches down into a Tiger Kung Fu stance then leaps towards her. They exchange punches and kicks, both skillfully blocking and parrying. She fakes low with her kick and then lands it to his face knocking him onto his back.


She points her finger at him. He flips back up and lunges towards her swinging his right claw within inches of her face. She rotates to the right as he sails past her but it sends her off balance causing her to teeter on the roof edge. He scrambles back digging his claws into the roof to stop his momentum. CUT TO: INT. - MOVING TRAIN A long stretch of claws come through the roof. The patrons duck down and scream. CUT TO: EXT. - TOP OF A MOVING TRAIN - NIGHT He leaps towards her, but she regains her balance and rolls away. He bounces off the tunnel wall and back on to the roof and pounces on her. It’s a stalemate because she has the cross blade firmly at his throat. She smiles and blows mint in his face, burning his fur. The train stops. MATHIAS Ok, Mija! Ok, I'll talk. AMINA Oh, you want to talk now? CUT TO: EXT. - METRO TRAIN PLATFORM YELLOW LINE - NIGHT The train doors open and the passengers run out frightened. She whispers in his ear. (CONT.)AMINA I w i l l k i l l y o u i f y o u t r y t o p l a y m e . MATHIAS Yeah. He transforms back into his human form. They both slide off the top of the train into a dark corner of the platform and blend into the crowd seamlessly.




They stand on the platform and talk. AMINA Now, what's your name, and why are you following me? MATHIAS I'm Mathias. The Faction sent me to test you against my wishes. AMINA Test me? For what? MATHIAS To see if you were as formidable a Hunter as we've heard. AMINA And how’d that work out for you? He rocks his hand from side to side. MATHIAS Eh, mas y menos. She begins to move towards him. AMINA You wanna go again? Test that theory? He waves her away. MATHIAS No. AMINA T h o u g h t s o . M a s y m e n o s ? B o y. MATHIAS Anyways. The Faction would like to meet with you. She looks around for threats, then walks to the desk. The Hotel Clerk has ANI S.on her name tag. She is busy working on the computer sees Amina and looks up. ANI S. Hi, welcome to The Elizabeth Hotel and Suites, how may I help you? AMINA I need a room for two nights, Ani. Queen sized bed please. Amina presents her I.D. and credit card. ANI S. Thank you, Miss Addison. I'll have a room ready for you in just a moment. AMINA Thank you, Ani. I appreciate you. Ani S. starts typing on the computer in front of her. CUT TO: INT. - INTERIOR OF THE HOTEL ROOM - NIGHT She opens the door with her night vision on, then closes it behind her and locks it. She clicks the light switch on the wall. The light is dim but enough for her to turn off night vision. She rolls her backpack to the middle of the room does a quick sweep then removes all of the weapons and arranges them on the bed. She dials "Bae" on her phone and walks out onto the balcony over looking the city. CUT TO: INT. - SUBURBAN TOWNHOME OF AMINA BAXTER - NIGHT Julius is sleeping when his phone vibrates on the nightstand. He groggily reaches for the phone. It reads "Wifey".


JULIUS Hey. You made it safely? AMINA(O.S.) Yeah, you didn't get my text? JULIUS No, I was knocked out. AMINA(O.S.) Is Yah alright? JULIUS Yes, she's good. AMINA(O.S.) Alright bae. I'll let you get back to sleep. I'll call you tomorrow. Love you. JULIUS Love you more. He sits the phone on the nightstand and goes back to sleep. CUT TO: EXT. - U STREET "LITTLE ETHIOPIA" WASHINGTON D.C. - DAY Amina is walking down the street in passing all manner of Ethiopian's, shops and restaurants. She’s wearing a cool camouflage Recruit Mode sweatsuit with a hoodie. She senses someone following her about 10 paces back. He’s a small Asian shape shifter named TANJING. As he passes through the crowd he takes on the look of people around him. A woman a tall man, an older person, younger etc. Amina pulls the hoodie over head, mixes into the crowd and turns into a shop doorway with her back to the street. She presses a button on the “R” zipper of her suit and the suit goes into “chameleon mode” and she blends in with the surroundings. Tanjing back in his Asian form passes by and starts looking for her, but can’t find her. Amina steps out and removes her hood. Tanjing sniffs the air and turns around to see her staring at him. Then she disappears into the crowd. Visibly shaken he takes off running. She continues walking and finally stops at Zane's Spice Shop and walks in. CUT TO:


INT. - SPICE SHOP - DAY ZANE THE SAGE is a tall dark and handsome man. He's arranging some spices with his back to the door when Amina walks in. He speaks without turning around. ZANE THE SAGE I expected you hours ago. She smirks. AMINA I would've expected a diviner to know better. Zane chuckles. He turns and walks towards her. His walk is smooth, catlike. He looks her up and down as he walks past her toward the front door. A heavy set black woman pushes the door open. With no effort he pushes her considerable girth back outside. ZANE THE SAGE We're closed. Come back later. He flips the "open" sign to "closed" then pulls a shade down to the floor. He turns and walks back to Amina. He shakes her hand and oozes charm when he speaks. (CONT.)ZANE THE SAGE Nice to see you again Hunter. How can I help you? AMINA I'm trying to get a handle on all of the weird activity that has occurred in the last few days. I've been off the grid for years. I've been trying to retire from all this and be a wife and raise a kid, quietly. Zane gestures to an antique couch placed off to the side, with a knee high table in front of it with what look like large blank white dominoes stacked neatly in the center. They’re buck wild and think they run the world. These kids actually plan to. He picks up the dominoes. He tosses them up in the air and they defy gravity fan out and glow brightly. Each of the dominoes collectively called THE CONDUIT smile and speak in a lovely female voice. THE CONDUIT Sage. We are your servant. Zane's eyes glaze over pure white and begin to glow. ZANE THE SAGE Conduit, what is happening in the underground?



The Conduit begin to form a cone shape like a retractible telescope. Zane moves forward to get a closer look. As he does a hand of black smoke swiftly emerges and tries to grab him. The Conduit screams. Zane pulls his head away and claps the dominoes together and collects them all in his hands. the smoky hand drops on the table as if it's been cut off by a sharp blade then dissipates. His eyes return to normal. AMINA What, was that? ZANE THE SAGE Unclear. I didn't receive the entire message. When does your flight leave tonight? AMINA After my meeting with The Faction. Why what's up? ZANE THE SAGE Definitely something not good. Stay prepared. AMINA Great, So helpful Zane. He reaches under the table and removes a small gun case. In it there are two small unusual looking guns and cartridges. He hands one to Amina. ZANE THE SAGE It’s got three barrels a small flat speaker on the side and a tactical UV light on top of the barrel. Works just like a regular gun bullets, but there's fifty of them and they have various alloys to combat a variety of beasts. The light on top is UV for Sabre-Vampires, and there’s a whistle wave to get under the Xi-Wolves uh...skin. Take this with you to your meeting. She gives him a quizzical look. (CONT.)ZANE THE SAGE They're still monsters, but you should be fine. Be careful and go with God.



She gets up and walks to the door. He follows behind. Amina exits the shop. The heavy set woman is still standing there impatiently. Zane catches the door before it closes. He lets the shade up and flips the sign back to open. The woman begins to fuss, but Zane puts one finger up. ZANE THE SAGE Nope. We’re not doing that today. She goes submissive and quiet. He waves her in. She squeezes in sideways because she's wider than the door. CUT TO: INT. - A LARGE WAREHOUSE - 5 MINUTES TO 5PM There is a large octagon shaped table with four people sitting at it. Mathias The Sabre Vampire, TANJING a Shape Shifter, CERRIS a Giganteum and MAHALAVAN the leader, a Xi- Wolf. There are several creatures in human forms sitting in chairs around the table. Mathias looks at the time on his phone. MATHIAS She's late. I told you this was a bad idea. In a dark corner in the back of the warehouse two eyes glow. Several monsters shriek and hold their ears. Amina emerges from the shadows with her unusual guns pointed towards the table where the four are sitting she's holding a button on the side emanating an enhanced dog whistle. There's a collective gasp from the monsters sitting outside the table. Some are still holding their ears, some poised to run others stand. She fires a few shots and purposely grazes two of the monsters. They shriek, scream and run off.




She releases the button on the gun and removes two ear plugs. AMINA In case anyone wanted to get froggy and jump. And to make sure it wasn't a trap. CERRIS You've made your point. Prudent, but unnecessary. If we wanted to kill you, you'd be dead. And I have every reason to want you dead for killing my son. Let's put a pin in that for now. AMINA Yeah, let’s, and for the record, your son tried to kill me first. Cerris bristles and a spine of branches emerge from his back. Mahalavan nods toward the table. He introduces himself and the rest of the council. Amina puts her fingers to her eyes and looks at Tanjing. MAHALAVAN I'm Mahalavan the Xi-Wolf delegate, that's Cerris, Giganteum, Tanjing, a Shapeshifter, and you've already uh, m e t M a t h i a s o u r n e w e s t S a b r e - V a m p i r e contingent, please sit. AMINA Nah, I'm good I'll stand. What's this about? Mahalavan nods towards Tanjing. TANJING There's a war coming. AMINA Coming? This has been going on for thousands of years. CERRIS The Virulent are preparing their end game. AMINA End game? MATHIAS An extinction level event. Geez, we have to spoon feed you everything? AMINA How 'bout I snatch those bucked teeth out your mouth, see who needs a spoon then? She contorts her mouth like she's missing teeth and starts whistling.




Mathias stands up. Cerris firmly pulls him back down to his seat. (CONT.)AMINA You don't want none of this smoke, M a t t y , t r u s t. CERRIS The young want to wipe out the old. AMINA T h a t s o u n d s l i k e a y o u p r o b l e m . She turns and walks away. MAHALAVAN They want to enslave humanity Amina. Who will stop them if we're gone? She stops and turns her head back towards the table. AMINA What? MATHIAS Coño. You think Hunters are doing all the work? He busts out laughing as do all of the people sitting behind the table. Mahalavan raises a hand to get everyone to settle down. MAHALAVAN Yes. The reason The Virulent broke away from us is that we had a philosophical difference of opinion about how things should be done. Unfortunately for Cerris, his son is one of many casualties of this coming war. AMINA Ok, so? MAHALAVAN We want to create an alliance however uneasy it may be with you and other Hunters and come up with a collective plan to defeat them. AMINA I'm not sure how to make that happen. How can I tell you apart from the ones that are trying to kill me and my family? CERRIS We'll figure these issues out together, but we need you. We think you're the Hunter spoken of in our ancient prophecy.


AMINA Prophecy? You mean one with the b l o o d l i n e o f b o t h H u n t e r a n d M o n s t e r ? That's an ancient children's story. CERRIS No, actually it's true. Amina is not buying it. She finds him saying the exact same phrase as Zane The Sage strange, but flips her guns up like a western gun slinger and backs into the shadows and disappears. MAHALAVAN Tan? TANJING Yes? MAHALAVAN Make sure she gets on that plane safely. Tanjing nods and gets up from the table. CUT TO: INT. - AIRPORT TERMINAL - NIGHT Amina walks briskly through the airport. They're boarding her plane. She looks back at where Tanjing has camouflaged himself against a column. She rolls her eyes and waves at him, then boards the plane. CUT TO: INT. - POLICE STATION - NIGHT It's relatively quiet. There are only a few police officers on duty. Detective Kincaide is sitting at her desk looking at a sketch of Marc the reporter, when Bobby hurriedly walks over. He looks at the sketch. BOBBY Have they found him yet? He drops two evidence bags on her desk.




DETECTIVE KINCAIDE No. What are they? BOBBY We think it's part of a tooth and fur. DETECTIVE KINCAIDE Ok, so our animal theory is possible? BOBBY Yeah, but what kind of animal? We found Canis Lupus DNA. DETECTIVE KINCAIDE Canis? Some kind of dog did this? BOBBY Wolf actually. DETECTIVE KINCAIDE Wolf? Wolves aren't indigenous to this area are they? BOBBY Not even a little bit. It gets stranger. We found Xiphias Gladius DNA also. DETECTIVE KINCAIDE Ziphas what's it? BOBBY Swordfish. DETECTIVE KINCAIDE That can't be right. There must've been some cross contamination from the water. Run it again. BOBBY We thought that too. We ran it three times. It's confirmed. The Detective Kincaide leans back in her chair perplexed. When she walks into the living room she sees Yahnda is sitting in a recliner with Iris

standing behind it. The claws on each hand that sits on the back of the chair are partially extended. Rathe is sitting on the floor next to Yahnda. Malachi is on the couch next to Julius. Sitting on the arm of the couch bookending Julius is Asher. Asher smiles a creepy smile full of sharp teeth. His mouth opens wider than humanly possible. Amina weighs her options, none of them good. The Xi-Wolves greet her mock cheerfully. XI-WOLVE FAMILY Cousin! JULIUS Hey babe. How come you never told us you had cousins from Africa? YAHNDA Yeah mom? AMINA I don't. Know? AMINA AGE 15 Dr. Shay? Why? He's always being overly friendly and looking at me weird. CUT TO: EXT. - GOULISOO,OROMO AREA,WELEGA STATE,ETHIOPIA, 25 YEARS AGO - DAY DR. OLEG SHAY a pale but handsome white archaeologist, smiles and stops a 10 year old Amina on the street. DR. SHAY How are you and your mother doing, Amina? Amina looks at him skeptically. AMINA AGE 10 Umm. We’re ok Dr. Shay. I’ve gotta go now. Amina starts to walk away, but Dr. Shay gently stops her. He hands her a stack of money. DR. SHAY Listen, I owed this money to Iskinder for a gift she gave me years ago. Can you make sure she gets it? AMINA AGE 10 Sure, I guess. Amina takes it and hurries off. CUT TO: INT. - A HOME JUST OUTSIDE GOULISOO,OROMO AREA,WELEGA STATE,ETHIOPIA, 20 YEARS AGO - NIGHT Continuous. ISKINDER He'll protect you. He's your father. Amina reacts incredulously. so eventually you won’t have to. Now go! There is a loud grunt and what sounds like huffing and puffing from under the door. The door bends. It repeats several times. ASHER(O.S.) Come out, come out to play little piglet. Amina crawls out of the window but hides and peeks her head around the window unseen. Iskinder picks up a large bucket of water. She holds the bucket in one hand a machete made from silver in the other. The door explodes open. In walks Asher in Xi-Wolf form followed by Iris. Amina is terrified. Iskinder splashes Asher with the container of water to his side causing him to howl and recoil. She slices Iris over her eye. Iskinder fights skillfully, but is no match for them. Amina sees her mother killed and runs away. FADE OUT: INT. - SUBURBAN TOWNHOME OF AMINA BAXTER - NIGHT Amina realizes these two murdered her mother. ASHER What's the matter? You look like you've seen a ghost. Amina balls her fist. IRIS We've been looking for you for a long time. Amina answers with an undercurrent of fury. AMINA I'm right here. IRIS Imagine our surprise to see you turned o u t j u s t l i k e y o u r m o t h e r. JULIUS How do you mean? IRIS Uh, beautiful. Her mother was so cute you just wanted to eat her up. Asher chuckles. Amina is furious, but tries to find a distraction. AMINA



Yahnda, could you go get us a couple of glasses of fresh water please? Amina eyes the four Xi-Wolves carefully. YAHNDA Yahnda? Am I in trouble? AMINA No, baby. Go on now. ASHER Oh, no thanks we're fine. AMINA O h n o , I i n s i s t. YAHNDA hops out of the chair and walks towards the kitchen. AMINA Bae. Can you fix me a plate of something? I haven't eaten since before my flight. JULIUS Sure. Can I get you guys anything? Julius gets up from the couch. The four Xi-Wolves focus there eyes on Amina. ASHER I could eat. IRIS Me too. MALACHI Ditto. RATHE Yeah, I'm starving. JULIUS Ok, a couple of plates coming right up. Julius cheerfully goes to the kitchen as Amina returns with five glasses of water on a serving tray. She stops by each person and hands them a glass. They each handle it extremely carefully. She walks over to her mom and hands her the final glass. AMINA You probably want some salt with that water huh? YAHNDA Salt? AMINA F a m i l y j o k e . Amina points to several heavy metal bottomed coasters on the table in front of the couch. AMINA Could you hand me that coaster off the table please then go help your daddy. Yahnda hands her a coaster. Amina remains standing holding the water in one hand the coaster in the other. YAHNDA Ok, mom.



Why are you acting so weird because we have company? Yahnda walks out of the room. Amina hurls the coaster at RATHE. It breaks the glass of water all over him. He starts wheezing as if he's having an asthma attack. Amina is up and running top speed towards the back door. She grabs another coaster and uses the edge to break Malachi and Ashers glasses as she runs by. The water spills on them both. They cringe wheeze and bare their teeth. Still holding the coaster she hurls it at Iris' head but she ducks. Iris gives chase you can see her spine contort and transform as she gives chase. The other three angrily follow suit. CUT TO: EXT. - SUBURBAN HOME OF AMINA BAXTER BACKYARD - NIGHT Amina leaps over her 6 ft back fence. The four of them do the same then transform into Xi-Wolves. CUT TO: INT. - SUBURBAN TOWNHOME OF AMINA BAXTER - NIGHT Julius comes out carrying a few plates. He almost slips in the water where Asher was sitting. He catches himself. JULIUS What the hell? Yah wait. Go get the mop baby. And watch your step there's glass everywhere. Julius calls out for Amina. (CONT.)JULIUS Amina? CUT TO: EXT. - ALLEY BEHIND AMINA'SS TOWNHOME- NIGHT The Xi-Wolves chase her. Rathe swipes at her calf causing her to fall. She kicks Rathe in the nose causing him to whine and back up. She gets to her feet but the other Xi-Wolves slash


her body with their claws. She's fighting a difficult fight. Malachi rushes her and knocks her through a fence into the back yard of one of her neighbors. They follow her into the yard. She looks up from on her back and sees Chris frozen against the house looking at the Xi-Wolves. He's holding a water bowl with Puggy Smalls sitting on it and is standing by the water faucet. The Xi-Wolves slowly descend upon them. CUT TO: EXT. - SUBURBAN TOWNHOME OF AMINA BAXTER BACKYARD - NIGHT Julius sees the back door open and walks to the back gate. He opens it and looks down the alley both ways but doesn't see anything. JULIUS Amina? Amina? He walks in the direction where she is but not close enough to hear or see what's going on. He walks back to his home, closes the gate and walks back into the house and closes the door. CUT TO: EXT. - CHRIS'S BACKYARD - NIGHT Amina reaches for the garden hose. AMINA Turn on the hose! Chris turns on the water. She sprays them causing them to recoil. They've get acid burns in the places where the water hit them and they howl loudly. (CONT.)AMINA Get out of here, Chris! Chris can't move. She keeps spraying them. Amina sits up. Her wounds are healing slowly. There's a three pronged hoe within reach. Malachi leaps over the stream towards Chris, but is met with three prongs to the chest.



He howls loudly and falls down. Amina is standing now. There are sirens in the distance. Rathe and Iris have retreated back from the stream of water. Asher's head turns back towards Amina's house, but Iris stops him. She begins to transform. Her dorsal and forearm fins retract. As do her claws and teeth. Her fur recedes also. They all transform into their human versions. All of their clothes are torn to shreds. IRIS We should get out of here. The cops will be here soon. ASHER So what? We'll kill them too. RATHE I'm with dad on that one. IRIS No. Too big a mess for Virulent to clean up. She looks at Amina angrily. (CONT.)IRIS To be continued hunter. Malachi! Get up son. Malachi gets up and transforms. The hoe falls from his chest and he staggers away. Chris sits the bowl and dog down and walks over to Amina. CHRIS Are you ok? AMINA I will be. Help me to my house. She leaves the hose on the ground with the water running to rinse Malachi's blood into the grass. They step over the broken fence and head back down the alley towards her home. His Puggy Smalls comes running out after him. CUT TO: EXT. - SUBURBAN TOWNHOME OF AMINA BAXTER BACKYARD - NIGHT They arrive at her back gate. CHRIS Those were some big bad wolves. AMINA Funny. Call me Mina. He heads out of her back gate into the alley. AMINA Hey, Chris? CHRIS Yes Mrs. umm Mina? AMINA Sahau. Chris's eyes glaze over. She lifts his pug and puts it his arm. When he comes out of the trance he's surprised. AMINA Boy. What did I tell you about watching me? CHRIS But I? AMINA Get home. Chris runs back towards his house. She removes her torn clothes and throws them in a dumpster in the alley. She's only in underwear. She closes the gate and tries the back door but it's locked. AMINA J u l i u s. CUT TO: INT. - SUBURBAN TOWNHOME OF AMINA BAXTER - NIGHT Julius is coming from the kitchen when the front doorbell rings. He hears the back door knob jiggle and ignores the doorbell to investigate. CUT TO: EXT. - SUBURBAN TOWNHOME OF AMINA BAXTER BACKYARD - NIGHT Amina sees Julius heading her way and ducks around the side of the house and runs to the front and peeks around the corner to see the police at her front door. AMINA Damn it. She runs back towards the back when the back door opens. JULIUS Amina? She pauses at the edge of the back of the house. The police bang hard on the front door causing Julius to abandon his search for Amina. Amina inches around to the back door and sees Julius walking towards the front door. She leaps up to



the bedroom window and lets herself in. In her haste her foot catches the ledge and she falls on the floor making a loud thud. AMINA Oh, God bless the child. She quickly scrambles up and heads toward the bathroom. CUT TO: INT. - SUBURBAN TOWNHOME OF AMINA BAXTER FRONT DOOR - NIGHT Julius is talking to two police officers at his front door. He hears the thud and footsteps and looks up. JULIUS What the? Officers, can you excuse me a moment? I think I heard my wife upstairs. Julius takes off leaving Yahnda standing there in awkward silence. YAHNDA So, hi. OFFICER #2 speaks. OFFICER #2 Evening Miss. CUT TO: INT. - OUTSIDE AMINA'S BATHROOM - NIGHT The shower water is going when Julius knocks at the door. JULIUS Baby? The police are downstairs. CUT TO: INT. - INSIDE AMINA'S BATHROOM SHOWER - NIGHT She's rinsing out her injuries. Blood washes down the drain. AMINA Ok, I'll be down in a minute. CUT TO: INT. - SUBURBAN TOWNHOME OF AMINA BAXTER FRONT DOOR - NIGHT Amina walks up to the door with a robe on. There are two officers standing there. Yahnda is standing off to the side also. Julius comes up behind her. Amina can see Gladys Willis in her pink robe standing on the sidewalk in front of her yard being nosy. Amina just shakes her head. OFFICER #1 has his pad out. There was some sort of disturbance a couple of houses over from here. Did you see or hear anything? AMINA No, I'm afraid not. We had guests and they had to leave abruptly. I just got back in town so I needed a shower, bad. Amina notices the Xi-Wolves in a tricked out Toyota rolling by. OFFICER #1 Can you give me the names and numbers of your guests? AMINA I wish I could but like I said they left abruptly. JULIUS No, hold on. Iris gave me the number where they're staying. The room number is on there also. Amina shoots him an exasperated look. Julius runs off to get the number, and returns quickly handing it to the officer. OFFICER #1 Thank you sir. Officer #2 removes a card from his pocket and gives it to Amina. OFFICER #2 If you think of anything gives a call. AMINA Ok, officers, have a good night. The officers turn and walk away. Amina closes the door. EXT. - CHRIS'S BACKYARD - NIGHT Chris is in his backyard shocked at the damage. The entire backyard is muddy from the hose which is still on the ground running water. There are huge paw imprints in the lawn. A flashlight hits him in the face and startles him. OFFICER #3 is holding the light. OFFICER #3 Freeze. Do you have I.D.? Chris'S MOTHER AND FATHER come from around the corner of the house in their housecoats and pajamas. CHRIS'S MOTHER Oh no officer.




That's our son. OFFICER #3 What's he doing out here by himself? CHRIS'S MOTHER He was just walking the dog. OFFICER #3 Did you see what happened here? CHRIS'S MOTHER We were asleep and didn't hear anything. Officer #3 turns his attention back to Chris. OFFICER #3 Ok. Did you see what happened here? CHRIS No, I was walking my dog. CHRIS'S FATHER It's like my wife said we didn't see or hear anything. Is he free to go officer? OFFICER #3 Yes. CHRIS'S FATHER Get on to bed Chris. Chris goes into the house. His father surveys all of the damage. (CONT.)CHRIS'S FATHER What do you think it was a bear or something? The officer reaches into his shirt pocket and produces a card. OFFICER #3 Hard to say. She reaches for the bottle on the table and pours another glass. She gets up and walks toward what looks like a bedroom. Who are you, and what do you have to do with all of this? There's red string connecting it all in a haphazard pattern. She turns on her scanner but isn't really paying attention. DISPATCH is calling out codes. DISPATCH Officers leaving a 415 at 30 Mt. Pleasant Rd. Be advised possible bear sighting. Car 69 headed to Hyatt by the 65 freeway to follow up on a lead. Her ears perk up at hearing that. She picks up her phone and dials into dispatch. DETECTIVE KINCAIDE This is off duty Detective Kincaide . Did you say there was a bear sighting? DISPATCH It's still unclear Detective Kincaide. Apparently they found large prints in somebody's yard. DETECTIVE KINCAIDE Is anyone processing the scene? DISPATCH No. The officer wrote it up as vandalism. DETECTIVE KINCAIDE Send a forensic team there immediately. DISPATCH Ma'am? DETECTIVE KINCAIDE Immediately! DISPATCH Yes, Detective Kincaide. CUT TO: EXT - HYATT HOTEL - EVENING Officer # 1 and #2 pull into the Hyatt parking lot. They pull up to the front door. They take note of the tricked out Toyota in the lot. Both Officers enter the building. CUT TO: EXT. - HYATT HOTEL ELEVATOR - NIGHT The officers exit the elevator and make a right and stop in front of room 523. Officer #2 knocks. ASHER(O.S.) Who is it? OFFICER #1 The police. Can you open the door please? ASHER(O.S.) What's this about? OFFICER #1 We just have a couple of questions




about a disturbance tonight a few miles from here. Open the door please. Asher unlocks the door partially. He's annoyed and shirtless. ASHER Yeah? OFFICER #1 Can we come in? We'd rather not discuss these matters in the open hallway. Asher looks back at Iris who's sitting in a chair by the window. She nods reluctantly. Asher lets them in. Officer #2 is using his chest CB to update dispatch. Officer #1 notices Asher has a makeshift bandage on his shoulder, RATHE a bandage over his nose, Iris a bandage over her forearm and three small patches of blood pooling up in the chest area of Malachi's t-shirt. Malachi crosses his arms across his chest to cover them. Officer #1 puts his hand on his holster and points towards them. OFFICER #1 What happened there son? MALACHI I'm not your son. OFFICER #1 Of course. I apologize. You all look a little banged up? Care to tell me what happened? IRIS A little fender bender, nothing major. OFFICER #2 Really? Where's your car? It looks like you've all suffered injuries. RATHE Dad are we really going to keep up this charade? Asher shakes his head, while Iris sighs in resignation. ASHER No. All four transform into Xi-Wolves. Officer #1 stops in his tracks terrified. He frantically tries to unholster his gun. Officer #2 backs away towards the door. He pulls out his CB. OFFICER #2 Oh my God. 999! 999! - THE DOOR TO THE XI-WOLVES ROOM - NIGHT A single gunshot goes off and a large pool of blood seeps out onto the carpet in the hallway. TAG CUT TO: INT. - DETECTIVE KINCAIDE 'S APARTMENT WAR ROOM - NIGHT The Detective Kincaide hears the officers distress call. She calls in again. DETECTIVE KINCAIDE Dispatch, off duty officer Detective Kincaide again. What did that officer just say? DISPATCH He called in a 999, and said they were being attacked. DETECTIVE KINCAIDE Did he say they were being attacked by a giant wolf? DISPATCH I don't know. We lost radio contact. DETECTIVE KINCAIDE Pull up the transcript. I'm on my way back down to the station. DISPATCH Yes ma'am. CUT TO: INT. - SUBURBAN TOWNHOME OF AMINA BAXTER - NIGHT Julius is sweeping up the remaining glass. YAHNDA is curled up in the recliner. JULIUS So, what did you say happened? AMINA We got into a fight about them showing up unannounced. JULIUS What's the big deal about that? AMINA Because they were really here trying to get money. I don't get along with that side of the family, so I wasn't happy to see them and it got heated. JULIUS Ok,I get it, but where did you go? I came out looking for you. I was yelling your name and what not. AMINA I took them out back into the alley to avoid a scene. Especially with our nosy new neighbor across the street watching everything I do. JULIUS




Gladys? AMINA Yup. JULIUS That's funny she's always super friendly to me when I see her. AMINA I'll bet. She probably wants you to "friendly" her back out some afternoon while I'm gone. JULIUS Ugh. Julius scrunches up his face and laughs. YAHNDA Mom! Ugh that's gross. JULIUS Don't change the subject. How did you get back in the house without me seeing you? AMINA Bae. You're not the most observant person in the world. You had your back to me when I walked in the house and ran upstairs. JULIUS Really? AMINA Really. JULIUS Did you see her come in Yahnda? YAHNDA No, but I might've been in the kitchen or something. AMINA Are we done with the enhanced interrogation? JULIUS I guess. At that moment Yahnda screams. Startled both of her parents turn towards her. AMINA What's wrong Ya Ya? YAHNDA is crying hysterically. YAHNDA I-I-I, I don't know. I felt like something was chasing me. JULIUS Aw baby. That sounds horrible. Amina walks over and hugs Yahnda tightly. AMINA Nothing's chasing you baby. You're right here with us. Yahnda doesn't say anything. She continues to quietly weep. Amina has a look of worry on her face. END
