The wind clawed at Elara's cloak as she stood on the precipice, the valley sprawling before her like a rumpled green tapestry. A hawk wheeled in the distance, its cry thin and sharp against the roar in her ears. She gripped the hilt of her sword, the worn leather a small comfort against the immensity of the vista, the weight of her task. A shadow fell across her, and a voice, smooth as polished obsidian, spoke. "Admiring your future kingdom, Elara? A pity you won't live to see it." Lord Valerius. He was tall, cloaked in midnight blue, his silver hair a stark contrast to the cruel amusement in his eyes. Elara turned, her gaze steady, defiant. "This kingdom will never be yours, Valerius." He laughed, a cold, humorless sound. - Villain lunges at hero - Hero dodges - Hero and Villain exchange banter - Villain summons dark magic - Hero reacts in fear - Villain monologues about their evil plan Valerius lunged, a blur of motion, but Elara sidestepped, his outstretched hand grasping only air. "Brave words, little queen," he sneered, his voice dripping with malice. "But words are wind." A flicker of dark energy gathered in his palm, swirling like a miniature storm. Elara felt a chill crawl up her spine, a primal fear she hadn't known she possessed. "Soon, all will tremble before me!" Valerius declared, his eyes blazing with dark ambition. "This world will be remade in my image!"
