Harvest

SCENE 1: In a dimly lit interrogation room, where the starkness of modern technology contrasts with touches of the past, Finn Rosenthal sits under the focused beam of a lie detector. The room, bathed in shades of grey, vibrates with an atmosphere charged with anticipation and an uneasy blend of futuristic and old-world elements. As the camera on its tripod zooms in, focusing on the cold, grey wall, Finn's anxious gaze flickers between the lens and the face of his interrogator. The tension is palpable, underscored by the hum of the lie detector—a modern oracle casting its judgment.
SCENE 2: The scene shifts to the interrogator's hands, deftly activating the lie detector attached to Finn's arm. The device, glowing ominously, becomes a focal point as Finn responds to probing questions about his identity and purpose. Each affirmative answer is highlighted by the lie detector's glow, marking the rhythm of this interrogation dance.
SCENE 3: An architectural marvel of modernity, a house with floor-to-ceiling glass windows, stands alone amidst the stark Icelandic tundra. Its surroundings are merciless—a landscape swallowed by snow and battered by a relentless blizzard. This exterior shot captures the house as a solitary refuge against the elements, embodying both protection and isolation, setting the stage for the dual themes of physical and psychological entrapment.
SCENE 4: A closer view of the house's exterior focuses on the windows, framing the desolation and emptiness within. This mid-shot emphasizes the isolation, suggesting a disconnect between the inhabitants and the world outside.
SCENE 5: Inside the house, the narrative contrasts sharply with the exterior's harshness. The interior is a testament to minimalist Nordic design, merged seamlessly with advanced technology. The kitchen, with its boiling steel pan and preparations of a mysterious cyan substance, overlooks the blizzard—a constant reminder of the thin barrier between the inhabitants and the wild.
SCENE 6: Finn is captured in a contemplative moment, observing the blizzard through the kitchen window. This mid-shot intertwines his internal solitude with the external isolation imposed by nature's fury.
SCENE 7: A close-up captures Finn's decisive motion as he turns off the stove, a simple yet significant action amid the storm's chaos outside.
SCENE 8: In the kitchen, Finn prepares a cyan substance with methodical care, pouring it into a baby bottle and shaking it. This medium shot combines elements of domesticity with an underlying sense of urgency and mystery.
SCENE 9: The corridor leading to the bedroom is highlighted as Finn picks up a cobalt walking cane, his limping gait adding a layer of vulnerability as he moves towards the only door at the corridor's end.
SCENE 10: The bedroom, with its futuristic Scandinavian furniture and a modern cradle glowing softly, is stark and sterile. As Finn enters, the lights automatically adjust, creating an ambiance that is both clinical and intimate. His approach to the cradle, feeding tube in hand, is captured in a series of shots that underscore the scientific and personal dimensions of his mission.
SCENE 11: An athletic, though unseen, figure approaches the bedroom, pausing just outside. The juxtaposition of Finn's careful placement of the bottle into the feeding mechanism against the newcomer's hesitant presence introduces an element of suspense and unspoken narratives.
SCENE 12: The underground gym, with its reflective mirrors and stark lighting, becomes a stage for physical expression and transformation. Roy's effortless endurance on the treadmill contrasts with Finn's tai-chi, a dance of strength and healing
SCENE 13: Finn's adjustment of a knee device, correcting his limp, is a poignant moment of resilience and adaptation.
SCENE 14: The steam room scene is a study in vulnerability and connection. As Roy and Finn sit enveloped in mist, their nakedness goes beyond the physical, hinting at emotional bareness. Their mutual gaze, amidst the steam and sweat, marks a moment of silent communication, abruptly cut, leaving a tension-filled promise of revelations yet to unfold.
